ENERCON improves service efficiency using Dezide causal AI technology

ENERCON is a global leader in the wind turbine industry, with over 31.000 turbines in operation worldwide. Since 2020, ENERCON has improved field service efficiency by integrating our causal AI troubleshooting technology into their field service iPad app and combining it with their expert troubleshooting knowledge to make it a highly efficient field service troubleshooting tool.

The Dezide troubleshooter is known in ENERCON as the “ENERCON Service Assistant.” This deep integration into a familiar field service tool has helped ENERCON roll out the app more quickly and increase adoption among their 3.500 field service technicians who use Dezide every day to quickly and easily troubleshoot issues. The KB has been built by people from many different places globally and is constantly updated with the latest information, making it a global resource that also helps onboard new talent quickly.

As Enercon states in its 2022 sustainability report:

“All of our wind turbines are known for reliability, low maintenance requirements and a long service life. Our customer-oriented service guarantees ENERCON wind turbine operators a technical availability of at least 97% when the wind is blowing.”

We like to think that we are contributing a small part to the fantastic service that Enercon is offering its customers.

As mentioned, ENERCON has integrated the Dezide troubleshooting technology, using the Dezide iOS API, into their own field service iPad app used by all field service technicians. The benefits of having a single unified user experience for all things related to the daily work of the field service technician are huge as they have a one-stop-shop for the entire day. We recommend this approach to all enterprise customers, as having the troubleshooter integrated into familiar tools provides a far superior experience for the users. In addition, it increases adoption, as we see fewer barriers when it comes to getting field workers to use a new software system.
