One of the most requested features by our customers is a better way the handle images and videos in Dezide. We heard you and now, we have made it easy to manage your media content in Dezide.
Here is a deeper look into how you can benefit from this update.
Update an image
Updating an image used in many guides and articles used to be tedious and time-consuming, now it can be done in a central location through the Media Library. Now, you can go to Images in the Media Library and update the image to a new version and the image will be automatically updated in all places in the knowledge base where it is used.
Set the Taxonomy for media files
The taxonomy is an incredibly powerful feature for organizing knowledge in Dezide and you have been using it for categorizing Guides and FAQ’s for a long time. Now, we have made that feature available for images and videos making it easy to tag and categorize media. Applying the taxonomy to the media files makes it much easier to get an overview of the images and use it for filtering when inserting into explanations.
Filter and search
Search is available inside the Media Library for free text searching in file names.
Likewise, the Taxonomy filter button has been made available for filtering based on the Taxonomy.
See where an image or video is being used
Previously it wasn’t easy to find out if an image or video was used in multiple explanations in several guides or articles. Now, Dezide automatically shows you exactly where each image is used in the knowledge base. You can even see if an image is used in content in different languages.
